So…a study is done. The facts are clear. In 2014(?) there was twice the acreage of forest fires in the US West than30 years previous–and it has been a gradual increase. Also, in 2014 in the west, average recorded temperatures in 2014 were 2.5% warmer than 1970 (44 years). Those are the facts stated. The leap is that the west is indicative of the world, it is going to continue, that increase is man made, and the fires in the west were caused by man made world wide climate change. And they have PhD after their name? No wonder that “the science is settled.” Sounds more like starting with the final and backing into the data to back it up.

Wow, IJ has stepped up the Climate Change articles to two per week. It is either rising seas, man made hurricanes or forest fires.

Aridity? Didn’t Trump state unequivocally that there is no lack of water? Whom should we believe? Mike

California would rather save a Smelt Fish than manage their water properly and provide the water to the farmers. Why not put in some Desalination plants up and down the coastline if they need the water so bad?

They are. There’s one in Carlsbad which is being used as a test case to see if it’s cost effective to put more up.
