With their ridiculously small range I dare anyone to drive 13,000 annual miles in the Leaf or the BMW i3. That alone renders the Mercury repofrt fallacious.
BTW, how do electric vehicles reduce our dependency on foreign oil when they need oil driven facilities to generate electricity??? Another liberal daydream.
Last time I googled the average annual mlles driven by a California driver…it was something like 13,300 +/. What would you suggest differently? You might google for the average one-way commute distance and see what that develops in 500 annual trips…or be on a SoCal or Bay Area freeway during peak commute hours…75% single occupant vehicles. I’m a bit surprised about the Model 3 being on any list this early. Late last week Tesla announced a couple of mandatory upgrades that are going to jack the price up substantially, including $1000 more for any color except black. $60,000 is not out of the question…and soon the rebate drops to half.
