A magnitude 3.8 earthquake has struck the island of Hawaii.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake hit at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday. Its epicenter was about 6 miles (9.7 kilometers) northeast of Hawaii Ocean View Estates, a subdivision in the town of Hawaii Ocean View.
The earthquake had a depth of 6.8 miles (11 kilometers.)
The surveys a total of 47 people felt it.
