Proposed amount of increase the Property & Casualty Insurance Co. of Hartford, part of the Hartford Insurance Group, wants to raise private passenger automobile rates in Nevada, according to the state Department of Insurance. The rate increase proposal is being reviewed by the DOI.

Maximum amount in rate reductions homeowners in Oregon could see, thanks to a rate decrease by Safeco. According to the Seattle-based company, rate reductions will vary by location. The rate reduction stems from seeing improvements in both the number of claims and Safeco’s success in reducing expenses. The company said it recently overhauled its underwriting and pricing models, as well.
