The Pennsylvania-based Keystone Insurers Group, a leading franchiser of independent insurance agencies, announced that it is celebrating 20 years of service, and will mark the occasion with an Open House at its new corporate headquarters in Northumberland on August 15.
“This has been an amazing ride,” stated CEO David Boedker. “We are humbled at the way the Keystone idea has succeeded. Our original concept — that a group of independent agencies could join forces to leverage buying power, to bring distribution volume and efficiency to our carrier partners, and to bring a satisfying insurance experience to our policyholders — is as viable today as it was in 1983. We’re grateful to our growing roster of franchise agencies and carrier partners for sharing our faith in that idea.”
The group currently has 67 franchise agencies in Pennsylvania, and is approved to do business in North Carolina and Maryland where it is actively pursuing expansion plans. It is one of the largest, privately held insurance organizations in the United States, with more than $200 million in assets under management and annual gross sales of nearly half-a-billion dollars.
