Penn National Insurance announced that Joseph Kenneth Garcia has been appointed to the position of vice president of claims.
“Mr. Garcia most recently worked for ACE INA, where he served in a senior claims leadership position. During his 30-year career in the property-casualty insurance industry, he has also led claims operations at CNA Global and General Re/General Star Management Company,” said the announcement.
Kenneth R. Shutts Penn National’s executive VP, secretary, and general counsel, said in an announcement to employees and agents, “As we sought to fill this position, we identified candidates who demonstrated not only the personal skills and characteristics necessary for success, but also the leadership traits that would allow them to direct and coach a claims organization of skilled team members to higher levels of personal and professional success.”
