PIACT Launches New Workers Comp Program for Members

November 19, 2003

The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. has launched its new “NumberONE Comp program,” which it described as “a monoline workers’ compensation market available to members, for their clients in Connecticut.”

The bulletin added that the new program has “hundreds of acceptable class codes and competitive commission on new and renewal business,” and “offers producers a simplified qualification process. After verifying eligibility, agents need to fax a completed ACORD 130 form to PIACT, along with a brokerage agreement, and a copy of their Connecticut Insurance license and the E&O declarations page (with minimum limits of $1,000,000). A quote will be faxed back within 48 hours.” All the necessary forms are available on the PIACT’s Web site.

“PIACT understands how difficult it is to secure workers’ compensation in the state and we have worked to make the market available to our members,” stated its President Robert B. Gyle IV, CIC. “Not only have we secured the market, but we’ve also simplified the process allowing our members to provide the services their customers need with as little hassle as possible. It’s what PIA does best, and makes doing business easier for members.”

The announcement also noted that “this new market option gives agents access to four “A” rated or better A.M. Best companies and is available to PIA members licensed in Connecticut and in good standing with the association.

Details about the NumberONE Comp program can be found on PIACT’s Web site at www.piaonline.org/CT/ and by typing SV10016 in the Quick-link box, or by calling (800) 424-4244 ext. 850.
