Farmington Hills, Mich-based national specialty insurance wholesaler, underwriter and managing general agent Burns & Wilcox Ltd., has opened a new service center in Livingston, N.J. The announcement was made by Burns & Wilcox Chairman, President and CEO Alan Jay Kaufman.
Burns & Wilcox has hired 24-year insurance industry veteran Susan R. Harris to oversee the development of the company’s new service center. Harris is responsible for managing the day-to-day procedures and productivity of the service center, including sales, marketing, underwriting and staff development.

The new office in New Jersey represents the continuing growth of Burns & Wilcox, which is also adding service centers in Richmond, Va., Las Vegas, Nev., and Baton Rouge, La.
