I thought we were all equal under the good Lord’s eyes. I look forward to the day when things like this are done naturally, without reminders being necessary.

Do they have to offer same-sex couples classes on birth control? What about preparing for pregnancy?

Kudos Rosie. I also think the companies should all allow multi-car discounts for cars on separate auto policies with the same carrier in the same household.

It’s nice to know that while New York burns, taxes increase, debt increases, the infrastructure crumbles, and people flee the state, the legislature has the time to take care of such issues. Nothing like having a government that works for all the people.

Where is all the anti-gay rhetoric. I so desperately wanted to hear someone offer up a reason to discriminate against gays that did not boil down to “because the Bible says so”.

Protection of marriage my ***! I love my wife and my marriage is strong, regardless of what any same-sex couple does.

People just need to get over their bigotry and afford all people the same rights, even if you don’t like the relationship they are in.

Agreed, but do you care if this negatively impacts your health insurance rates?

Of course gays should have the right to marry! Why should straight couples be the only ones who are miserable???

Right on Rosie. Equal rights for Humans. Glad places like New York actually believe that separate is not equal.

Well Scott let’s take away all health care benefits so then no one is “impacted negatively”. Careful Scott – your white hood is showing.

“White Hood”, what does that mean? “Take away all health care benefits”, again I don’t know what you are trying to say with that statement.

It’s difficult to claim separate is not equal when you’re not comparing apples to apples. Same-sex couples are not the same as heterosexual couples. The difference is fundamental, obvious and undeniable. It’s biological.

Look, if you don’t mind paying for it then there is no problem, for you. But, I don’t want my already expensive health care costs to increase because a judge in another State made an end run around the legislature and the will of the people.

I have no problem with same-sex couples entering into civil unions and no problem with health insurers recognizing domestic partnerships. Just don’t force them to do it!

This fight to recognize same-sex couples as married is bogus. In both California and Connecticut same-sex couples had the same rights as traditionally married couples under the States civil union laws. Why wasn’t that good enough?

What surprizes me more than anything is that New York state refuses to honor legal unions of there own, but will honor one from another state….does that make any sense? GO Patterson GO!!
