Boston-based insurance brokerage William Gallagher Associates has acquired RPG Insurance Administrators Inc. (RPG) of Medfield, Massachusetts for an undisclosed sum.
RPG specializes in risk management services to medium- and large-sized health care organizations, including hospitals and physician practices.
“WGA has steadily built our health care industry practice over the past few years, and now with the addition of RPG’s expertise we can continue to give our clients expanded capabilities within the health care arena,” said Philip J. Edmundson, chairman and CEO of WGA.
In connection with the deal, Emmanuel Psilakis, a veteran of the healthcare insurance industry with 22 years of experience joins WGA. Psilakis’ expertise lies in the areas of health care professional liability, physician professional liability, workers compensation, and the implementation of comprehensive directors’ & officer’s liability programs for health care organizations.
