Is there anything in Hartford that doesn’t look this way? Been a while since I was there. I remember the sidewalks being rolled up every Friday at 5:30.
Hartford is much like pretty much any Eastern or upper midwest city-old. I’m glad however that they are doing this as I’ve visited several like cities over the past few years and some of them have neighborhoods that look similar to those in Europe right after WWII-just devastated and crumbling with no sign that any remodleing or construction is happening.
BTW-how do they roll up the sidewalks anyway-a big roling stick?
“It was looking dirty and kind of worn out.”

Were they rolled up or hung over the clothes lines and beaten with a broom?
