Now the fun begins. Took a long time to convince companies that we no longer put any language in the description box or included all of their subsidiaries on the Cert. Texas has been blessed with this law for several year. We no longer argue over what is going to be put on a Cert. Texas law makes it very clear. if they want to argue, then I send them a copy of the law and they will then accept what we send.
The New Jersey agents are going to have a rough time for a year or two but after that, clear sailing.

Texas lot helped tremendously. As long as agents see their role as making the customers happy, the abuse will continue. Many companies will not accept copies of certificates any more. There is no doubt that CSR’s continue to put all sorts of stuff on the COI’s, just so the insured can get the work. Fortunately, 99% of the time nothing happens but when it does!!!!

Agents are afraid to contact the person or organization demanding illegal or questionable demands on the insured’s. They only care about putting them into compliance with the contract they signed. Hence the requests for Comprehensive GL with BFPD and exclusion c deleted.

    Amazing.
