“CRAIN”…Why was this misspelled word not caught and corrected before publishing this article? This article is supposed to be from a professional magazine.

Thanks for pointing out the error. It has been corrected. We are humans who are juggling multiple tasks at once, handling numerous stories at various stages of readiness, writing headlines and tagging articles, and answering calls and emails, all while under deadlines.Sometimes we make mistakes. Thanks for your understanding and for reading Insurance Journal.

“Sometimes we make mistakes.” Like forgetting to put a space between the prior sentence and that one? Sorry, I just can’t resist being a wise guy sometimes :) Thanks for all your hard work!

No worries, Andrew. It makes, Mom, Geek, and Maria feel superior.

Hey guys, did I spell “superior” right?

Fraser Crane would be better able to provide a psycho-analysis and add reasons why typos enter published work products, and why some readers feel compelled to point out errors and folly of others, perhaps to belittle them. Me; I prefer to just ignore meaningless typos and float along on my iceberg, snacking on fresh fish. :)
