About time this is being addressed – what has originally been intended to protect workers has instead become a full time enterprise for professional plaintiffs.

The lawyers and politicians that make a fortune from the antiquated law will make sure it does not go away anytime soon.

This is fantastic and I wish they could do it for all projects, not just the federally funded ones. That said, any attorneys here want to comment on the federal government’s ability to override, or disregard established state law when suits are brought in the courts of that state? Can this federal law really just force judges to ignore their (admittedly ridiculous but never-the-less well established) interpretation of an existing state law?
