London-based ri3k, the global reinsurance infrastructure provider, announced that it has received three awards from ACORD, presented at the LOMA Conference in Las Vegas, Nev.
Ri3k was named the recipient of the following 2004 ACORD Awards:
– Industry Leadership for Straight Through Processing Award
– Early SOAP Framework Adopter Award
– Certification
CEO Alex Letts, commented, “We are delighted to receive this recognition so soon after the launch of version 2.0 of the ri3k Hub. Modern technology such as SOAP now means that straight through processing is a reality for the industry.”
ri3k’s new initiative, LifeRIC – the electronic data hub for North American life reinsurance (See IJ Website May 24) – has also won a Certification award.
“This year was especially competitive with over 400 submissions and 160 winners,” noted Denise Garth Vice President, Membership & Development, ACORD. “ri3k is setting an example for the rest of the industry that we hope inspires others to join ACORD and begin their work with data standards.”
