ACE Overseas General, the non-US insurance operations of The ACE Group of Companies, announced that it has appointed David Miller as executive vice president, International Accident & Health.
Miller will be based in Philadelphia, and will lead the global A&H team and oversee the unit’s continued growth. “He will focus specifically on developing opportunities to expand ACE’s A&H distribution channels, maximize marketing efforts, and leverage best practices from region to region,” said the announcement. He will report to Ed Clancy, ACE Overseas president & COO.
“David’s entrepreneurial management experience and his deep-rooted background in marketing will help us accelerate our A&H worldwide growth strategy,” Clancy noted. “Accident & Health comprises a significant part of ACE’s total book of business, and David’s leadership and expertise will help us further develop this important business and contribute to our continued success in the market.”
Prior to joining ACE, Miller held a number of senior executive positions in the insurance industry. He was founder and president of Kemper Auto and Home Insurance, a direct-to-consumer business that quickly became a market leader in sales via the Internet. Prior to Kemper, he served as executive vice president and COO of Providian Direct Insurance, where he held significant roles in its auto, life and health businesses.
