Assurex Adds New Partner in Thailand

Assurex Global — the world’s largest privately held risk management and commercial insurance brokerage group – announced that it has expanded its worldwide presence with the addition of an international broker Partner in Bangkok, Thailand.

Trafalgar International Ltd., one of Thailand’s leading independent risk management and insurance brokerage firms will become Assurex newest member.

Trafalgar was founded in 1989. It offers “comprehensive brokering services in all classes of insurance to commercial, individual and professional clients,” said the bulletin. “Trafalgar’s multi-national and local clients span a broad range of industries including construction and engineering, power and energy, marine, metals, telecommunications, hotels and leisure, food and beverage, and financial institutions.”

Assurex Global, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2004, is considered a leader in combining local access with global strength. “With the addition of our new Partner in Bangkok, Thailand, Assurex Global Partners are strategically positioned in every major commercial center on the globe,” noted President and CEO Jim Hackbarth. “Wherever Assurex Global clients have assets at risk, an Assurex Global Partner is nearby.”

The Partnership, based in Columbus, Ohio, has independent broker members on six continents, with over 20,000 experienced industry professionals “generating annual premiums exceeding $19 billion,” the announcement continued. “Assurex Global delivers seamless global insurance, risk management and employee benefits products and services from more than 130 offices located in every major city of the globe.” The group invites only one independent broker per market to join.
