Allianz Opens New Office in Shenzhen

Germany’s Allianz announced on its Web site (www.allianz.com) that it has launched its first joint life and non-life insurance Sales Center in Shenzhen, China.

“The Center maximizes the synergies between Allianz’ life and non-life insurance operations in China and offers Guangdong customers a one-stop shopping experience to cover all their personal, health and commercial insurance needs,” said the bulletin.

The new office is located at the Anlian Tower in Shenzhen. Allianz noted that “guests of honor at the opening ceremony included: Chen Yingchun, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen; Meng Long, Chairman of China Insurance Regulation Committee Shenzhen Bureau; Bruce Bowers, CEO of Allianz Asia; Christian Molt, CEO of Allianz Dazhong Life Insurance Company Ltd.; and Raymond Wong, Deputy General Manager of Allianz Insurance Company Guangzhou Branch.”

Bruce Bowers, CEO of Allianz Asia, commented: “China is a key strategic growth market for Allianz.
