September 26, 2007

Dublin-based Research and Markets has published “International Reinsurance Review 2006/07.” R&M described the new addition to their research offering as “a compilation of informative chapters that combine to provide a dialogue on the current issues of debate within the reinsurance industry.”

It includes “commentary and debate from prominent industry associations such as ACORD, IUA, and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, (IAIS,” together with “regional regulatory overviews that analyze developments around the world, from the EU to the Middle East, as well as sector specific analysis.”

The report also includes comments from the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and the Association of Run-off Companies, who cover topics such as transparency in the reinsurance sector, opening business information pathways, and why run-off is no longer the Cinderella sector.

“Focus is provided on key markets around the globe in the form of regional regulatory overviews from leading industry players,” the bulletin continued. “They provide analysis on developments in all aspects of insurance and reinsurance from regulatory issues to innovative solutions for dispute resolution. Market reviews in this edition cover the four corners of the globe from the EU to the Middle East, Latin America to the US.

“Additional articles on subjects ranging from international developments in life insurance, to holistic risk management for the reinsurance industry, and the use of capital markets provide a wider profile of the current markets to help you negotiate this complex industry.”
