Marsh has announced that its aviation reinsurance team will join Guy Carpenter, also an MMC company, which specializes in all aspects of reinsurance, by the end of 2008.
When the process is completed, 29 Marsh colleagues will transfer to Guy Carpenter.
Nick Frankland, CEO of Guy Carpenter in the UK called the change over “a positive development for our clients,” adding that Marsh’s “aviation team will have full access to Guy Carpenter’s technical and analytical suite and be able to offer a more complete range of reinsurance solutions.”
Tim Haynes, Managing Director, Head of Aviation Reinsurance indicated that combining Marsh’s experts in aviation with those of Guy Carpenter “will both further enhance our clients’ experience and broaden the skills sets of our high calibre and experienced team. We see this as very much a win-win decision for both us and, more importantly, our clients.”
