Well said. The civilized world needs to stop catering to punks and worry about violating THEIR rights. When they pick up weapons and illegally board a vessel to hijack it and demand money, they forfeit any rights they may have had. When the risk of getting shot becomes a reality this nonsense will stop. They should not be taken prisoner, or simply stripped of their weapons and released. They need to be eliminated. It should be open season on Somali pirates with a reward put on their heads.
We need a rebel to go in and free all the captured ships and people first. Once the hostages are freed, then you can start blowing up the pirates.

Agree. Bush wouldn’t tolerate this crap nor would Reagan. Most countries of the world lack the balls to stand up to those who spit in the face of civilization. What they’re doing isn’t funny. The companion costs to society is tremendous. Paying ransoms only encourages the practice. They need to be eliminated(aka killed)if they continue.
What is Lloyds thinking? There is only one solution; the civilized world must go on the offensive to stop these punks. Crews should be trained and armed or, professional security guards placed onboard. Any vessel that approaches a ship in the open seas does so at it’s own risk. A nice .50 calibre machine gun would stop them before they had a chance to board the vessel. It would also eliminate the vermin and sink their boats. We’re sending the wrong message by coddling them with ransoms and “analysis” of solutions. These people only understand one thing…..violence. They are criminals and have no rights in international waters. They have no government to control them either. And, the last thing we need is to take them prisoner, bring them to the USA, and have the taxpayers pay for their prison cell and full benefits.
