ACE Tempest Re Europe has announced the appointment of David Mann in the newly created role of Senior Underwriter for Structured Risks.
The appointment “further enhances ACE’s commitment to expanding its product offering across its Reinsurance division,” said the bulletin. Mann will report to Andreas Lewin, Managing Director, ACE Tempest Re Europe and will be based in its London office.
He will be responsible for underwriting non-traditional bespoke reinsurance solutions across Property, Casualty and Specialty lines. He joins ACE Tempest Re from Aspen Insurance Ltd, Bermuda, where he was most recently Senior Underwriter for Structured Risks.
ACE Tempest Re Europe has underwriting operations in London, Zurich and China (through Lloyd’s Reinsurance Company China Limited), writing numerous classes of traditional and non-traditional reinsurance including casualty, property treaty, marine and aviation.
Lewin welcomed Mann to ACE, and noted that his position will give the unit the “ability to offer a broadened suite of reinsurance products.”
