San Diego-based Barney & Barney LLC, one of the U.S.40 largest insurance brokerages, has announced the creation of a new international position it has established in Stuttgart, Germany.
Client Executive Bevin Melody will be based there. She will take charge of growing the firm’s international practice. Her primary focus will be on “International Reverse Flow business and new business development,” said the bulletin. It also noted that the European location would “enable her to work with clients and partners in many time zones within Europe, the East Coast, West Coast as well as Asia.”
Craig Tabor, Principal, International Practice leader, pointed out the advantages of having the “ability to meet face-to face with parent companies within Europe,” adding that it would “serve as an invaluable resource to clients.” He singled out Melody’s “in-depth global insurance knowledge,” and indicated that she would “provide clients with a thorough understanding of Barney & Barney’s international capabilities through the Assurex Global network.”
