Catlin Makes Board Changes

The Bermuda-based Catlin Group Limited has announced the resignation of Michael Harper from the Group’s Board of Directors effective July 1st, 2010 “due to the demands of his other commitments. He was appointed as Senior Independent Director of Catlin in July 2005.”

Bruce Carnegie-Brown has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director with effect from August 1st 2010. He will be subject to election by shareholders at the Company’s Annual General Meeting in 2011.

Carnegie-Brown was formerly Managing Partner and founder of 3i Group plc’s quoted private equity team and was a member of 3i’s Group Management Committee. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Marsh Limited’s European and Middle Eastern operations. Prior to joining Marsh, he spent 18 years at JP Morgan in a variety of roles including Senior Credit Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Chairman of JP Morgan Securities Asia based in Tokyo and Head of Debt Capital Markets in Europe and Asia.

Catlin Group’s Chairman, Sir Graham Hearne, commented: “I would like to pay tribute to Michael Harper for his service to the Catlin Board and its Committees over the past five years.
