ACE Opens Larger Office In England

December 14, 2010

ACE has opened larger premises in Watford, England to meet the growing demands and needs of local brokers.

The availability of its suite of specialist multi-line products such as ACE Hotel, ACE Retail and ACE Evolve for mid-corporate multinational businesses, and its strong regional presence providing direct access to expert underwriters, has been well received by brokers. The expansion reflects ACE’s desire to target more brokers and deliver support for their larger accounts.

Jon Houghton, Regional Manager Corporate Risks, Southern Region for ACE, said: “The move is evidence of our regional strategy in action and working. While some insurers are relocating support structures back into London, ACE is actively growing its presence.”

In the UK & Ireland ACE is structured into two core segments:

The Corporate Risk segment provides property, casualty, accident & health and other specialty insurance products. Target clients are broadly defined as those with turnovers of more than £5m and 50 plus staff with conventional insurance programme requirements.

The Major Risks segment provides property, casualty, accident & health and other specialty insurance products. Major Risks clients are broadly defined as companies with a turnover of greater than £500m and employing a full time global risk manager requiring non-conventional insurance programmes.

ACE UK & Ireland’s five regions are:

  • Ireland (Dublin and Belfast)
  • Scotland (Glasgow)
  • The North (Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle)
  • Midlands (Birmingham)
  • London and South East (London, Maidstone, Reading, Watford)
