Ebix Europe, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Ebix, Inc., which provides global insurance trading platforms and messaging products, has been appointed by marine broker Ropner Insurance Services to provide its London market messaging capabilities for eEndorsements, Accounting and Settlement, Electronic Claims Files and eAccounting.
Ebix Europe VP Jeff Ward explained that the Company’s expertise in the insurance industry and commitment to open architecture and ACORD standards will provide Ropner with a high standard of service to their customers.
“Ropner will benefit from our steadfast commitment to the London market modernization program, underpinned by our robust technology and peerless support that is powering paperless transactions for the commercial insurance and reinsurance industry,” Ward said.
Ropner’s COO Simon Wilson said: “We must keep moving forward and believe that to progress technologically in the London market we need a software provider who would be more of a strategic partner rather than just a supplier.”
Last month a subsidiary of Ebix Inc., Ebix Singapore Pte Limited, purchased Qatarlyst, an electronic trading exchange for the global insurance and reinsurance industry. This followed their purchase in August 2012 of TriSystems Limited, an independent London based software house, which was rebranded as Ebix Europe.
