Brokerslink Appoints Gooch to Drive Business Development

December 10, 2014

Independent insurance broker network Brokerslink has appointed Corey Gooch as its first director of business development.

As part of the executive team, he will help drive Brokerslink’s growth by working with its broker members to introduce new clients and identify risk-related opportunities, the company said in a statement.

Gooch has worked within the insurance market for approaching 20 years and was previously an account director at Towers Watson with responsibility for global clients and partnerships. He began his career at Marsh and has also held positions at Aon.

Commenting on the appointment José Fonseca, chairman of Brokerslink, said: “Corey joins at a pivotal moment for Brokerslink and its members as we look to reap the rewards of becoming aprofit-based international broking and risk consulting organization.”

Over the last 12 months Brokerslink has moved from being an association into a profit-based international broking and risk management consulting organisation. “This has led to the development of a dedicated and centralized management resource supported by marketing, branding, strategic partnering with insurers and an expanded board,” the company said.
