Atticus Associates Launches DQPro Platform to Manage Data Quality Challenges

June 2, 2016

Insurance technology firm Atticus Associates has launched its data quality platform, Atticus DQPro, with London-based specialty insurer Brit Ltd. as its first customer.

“DQPro has been built for the needs of the global re/insurance market, allowing insurers to more effectively identify, track and manage their data quality on a daily basis delivering significant operational, financial and regulatory benefits,” Atticus said in a statement.

“By integrating with their legacy source systems, the platform enables insurers to create clean and trusted data for further underwriting analysis, compliance and decision making,” the statement continued.

“We have yet to talk to a Lloyd’s syndicate or general insurer that does not have data quality challenges, yet our own research has shown that 90 percent of them don’t have a dedicated data quality management tool despite the operational and regulatory impact of incorrect or unknown data,” commented Nick Mair, co-founder and CEO of London-based Atticus Associates.

“The majority are reliant on tactical exception reporting processes which are manpower intensive, ‘key man’ dependent, hard to support and which are themselves prone to errors,” he added.

DQPro is a fully supported platform that gives business users the tools to take control of their data quality and exceptions while providing executives with a clear view of their organization’s data health, Mair said.

“Whether for regulatory or operational benefits, DQPro allows organizations to be absolutely confident that their data is complete, accurate, appropriate and compliant,” he went on to say.

DQPro has a low annual fee, is easy to implement and, with a set up time of less than two weeks, it delivers immediate value and benefits, Mair noted.
