Acappella Syndicate Promotes Quinn and Bellamy in Reinsurance Division

Acappella Syndicate 2014 is very pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Quinn to the new role of head of the Reinsurance Division and Matthew Bellamy to the role of head of Property Reinsurance. Both promotions are with immediate effect.

Jim Quinn joined Acappella Syndicate in December 2013 to build the Casualty Reinsurance portfolio for its first Year of Account in 2014. Quinn previously worked for Brit Syndicate 2987 for 12 years as a senior underwriter in the Casualty Reinsurance Division and worked for 11 years prior to that as an underwriter in the London company and Lloyd’s markets.

Matthew Bellamy joined the syndicate in April 2014. Prior to joining Acappella Syndicate, Bellamy previously worked for MS Amlin as a North American property treaty underwriter, specializing in catastrophe and per risk excess of loss structures.

The syndicate’s Reinsurance Division primarily focuses on business emanating from North America. The combined Property and Casualty reinsurance premiums represented close to £60 million ($73.7 million) for 2016. The Acappella syndicate’s stamp capacity for 2017 is £137 million ($168.4 million).
