Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co. has appointed Ted Wagner, as vice president and chief actuary.
In this position, Wagner will be responsible for managing the company’s reserves, setting pricing indications, and as a senior-level executive, he will participate in the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plans. He will direct a six-person Actuarial department, and reports to Richard Russell, president and CEO.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Wagner is one of only 2,400 people in the U.S. who has earned Fellowship status in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). He is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). Prior to joining Amerisure, Wagner spent eight years as a Principal Consultant with
PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago. Previously, he had worked for Meadowbrook Insurance in Southfield, Mich., as an Actuarial Analyst.
