Agency network SIAA Inc. announced that Insurance Management of Marion, Ind., has established Northern Indiana Agents Alliance as an SIAA master agency. Their territory will cover several counties in Northwest Indiana.
Insurance Management was originally founded over 100 years ago, and is the oldest and largest independent insurance agency in their area. The current ownership principals purchased the agency in 1982.
William J. Sumpter, with more than 30 years’ experience, is the president of the agency. Kyle J. Stoffel, with 20 years’ experience, will manage the master agency network. Insurance Management represents several SIAA strategic partner companies including Indiana Insurance (part of Liberty Regional Agency Markets) and Zurich.
Sumpter said in a statement that joining SIAA seemed to be the best way to broaden the agency’s market area while maintaining its autonomy and agency culture.
SIAA has 1,300 member agencies and writes more than $2.7 billion in premium volume annually.
