Wausau Insurance has contracted with IVANS to use Transformation Station in an attempt to streamline the submission and quoting process of middle-market business for agents and brokers.
Wausau has developed the technology to accept complete submission data based on ACORD XML standards and feed it into workflow and rating systems. IVANS Transformation Station provides the link necessary to translate the data output from agency management systems to the ACORD XML format and pass it on to Wausau.
Agents can send a complete submission for workers compensation, commercial auto and general liability directly from their agency management system, according to Joan Kiburz, Wausau’s E-Business Manager. The industry has utilized this technology for personal lines and small commercial quoting for the past year. Wausau is expanding the technology to handle more complex middle-market accounts. Wausau’s initial interface pilot is being conducted with producers on Applied Systems’ agency management software.
Wausau, a member of the Liberty Mutual Group based in Wausau, Wis., is a national property/casualty company providing commercial auto, general liability, property, umbrella, workers’ compensation and other coverages to mid-sized businesses.
