Leisure/Sports Specialists announced its official entry into business with the opening of its corporate headquarters in Fort Wayne, Ind. LSS said in a statement that it has an exclusive insurance relationship with niche property/casualty carrier Century Surety, a subsidiary of Westerville, Ohio-based ProCentury Corp.
The company is a general agency specializing in underwriting leisure/sports business through Century Surety and will market its products exclusively through retail insurance agents nationwide. The LSS team, composed of President Matt Sackett and Chief Underwriting Officer Mike Larkin, said it has nearly four decades of combined experience developing specialty liability products for amusement facilities, sports associations, horse and dog tracks, casino boats, concert promoters, sports teams, and public venues such as convention centers and concert halls.
LSS enters a field led by two other Indiana-based leisure/sports brokers, Aon subsidiary K&K Insurance Group, also in Fort Wayne, and Roanoke, Ind.-based American Specialty Cos., recently acquired by Brown & Brown.
In a statement, Sackett said LSS is “competitive in all aspects” of its business.
