June 6, 2006

Aon Corp. announced the appointment of Roderick J. Hood as resident managing director of Aon Risk Services Minnesota. Hood, with nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, takes over from Alan R. Diamond, who recently announced his retirement after 34 years with Aon.

Prior to this appointment Hood, who has been with Aon since 1997, served as senior vice president and practice group leader for Aon’s Financial Services Group. Before that, he spent more than 10 years in the management liability practice of St. Paul Companies, now St. Paul Travelers.

“Rod’s professionalism and dedication to client service make him an ideal choice to head Aon Risk Services’ operations in Minnesota,” said Steve McGill, chief executive office, Aon Risk Services Americas. “Throughout his career, Rod has displayed tremendous leadership and foresight, and I am confident he can build upon our strong foundation in the northern Midwest.”

Hood, a Minnesota native, earned a bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, he received the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter in 1990 from the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.

Aon Corporation (www.aon.com) identifies itself as a leading provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting, and specialty insurance underwriting. There are 46,000 employees working in Aon’s 500 offices in more than 120 countries.
