It would definitely appear that CPS is the guilty party here. Why on earth would they have allowed the SS#s to get in the hands of the printer? Especially if the spreadsheet was only supposed to be used for making address labels? Nothing is safe anymore!

It appears NO ONE really checked the mailing before it went out! Not CPS, not the printer, NO ONE! The \”human error\” was in not checking it in addition to including the list (which I do think was an inadvertant mistake)

The cost of printing and mailing 1760 copies of a 125-page list of personal information is penalty enough for the printer. The client is supposed to \”sign-off\” on the sheets they want printed. If they didn\’t catch this error that is appalling. It is amazing the pressman, press room foreman, bindery operator and bindery foreman failed to take note of the error but the good news…None of the former employees of the Chicago Public School system have any excuse for not sending Christmas cards to their former colleagues.
