The director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance is recovering from a stroke.
A news release from Governor Dave Heineman’s office says Tim Wagner suffered a stroke Wednesday, Oct. 3 and is recovering at an Omaha hospital.
The release says department deputy director Ann Frohman has taken over Wagner’s duties until he returns.
His official biography says Wagner was named to the post by then-Governor Mike Johanns, starting in January 1999. Wagner was reappointed to the job by Heineman.
Insurance Journal contacted the Governor’s office today, no new information is available at this time, according to a spokesperson for the governor.
