Columbus, Ohio-based The State Auto Insurance Cos. recently named Jon Allison as director of government relations. Additionally, Allison has been elected assistant vice president by the board of directors of State Automobile Mutual Insurance Co.
From 2001 to 2006, Allison served in the administration of former Ohio Governor Bob Taft, first as deputy chief of staff for state and federal relations, then as chief of staff to the governor. Since January, he has led The Allison Group, a Columbus-based government and public affairs consulting firm. In his role with State Auto, Allison will represent the company at both the state and federal level.
