A judge has denied North Dakota’s former workers’ compensation director’s request to move his criminal trial out of Burleigh County.
Sandy Blunt faces two felony charges that accuse him of misspending Workforce Safety and Insurance funds during his time as the agency’s director. He was forced out of his job in December 2007.
South Central District Judge Bruce Romanick also denied Blunt’s second request to have the charges dropped.
Blunt faces a trial next month.
