Wisconsin’s Capitol Insurance Promotes 3

Capitol Insurance Cos. of Middleton, Wis., announced that Kevin A. Klestinski has been named vice president of Property & Casualty Underwriting, Richard F. Boettner has been promoted to director of Underwriting – Brokerage & General Agent Binding, and David W. Schirmer has accepted the position of director of Audit & Product Development.

Klestinski joined Capitol in 2006 as director of Marketing Operations. In this position, he provided leadership to the marketing staff to include the planning, organizing and directing of the day-to-day operations. He also worked closely with Property & Casualty Underwriting to set the strategic marketing direction for the company. In 2008, Klestinski became director of Property & Casualty Underwriting – Independent Agents. Klestinski has earned designations as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), an Associate in Underwriting (AU), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).

Boettner joined Capitol in July 2002 as Staff Services director and moved into the Property & Casualty Underwriting department in 2004 as Property & Casualty manager. He was promoted to director of Property & Casualty Underwriting – Independent Agents in 2005. In 2006, Boettner became director of Property & Casualty Underwriting – Brokerage. In this position, he has provided leadership to the brokerage underwriting staff to include the planning, organizing and directing of the day-to-day operations. Boettner has earned designations as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).

Schirmer joined Capitol in June 2003 as underwriting manager of Capitol Specialty Insurance Co., becoming director of Underwriting – General Agents in April 2005. As Audit and Product Development director, Schirmer will focus on P/C underwriting changes and product development.
