So she was only “cited”? Why wasn’t she arrested?

Why was she not taken to jail? I did not know they just gave drunk drivers a ticket and let them go on their way.

I don’t think they caught her until after the 3rd accident.

IJ please provide some details, little things like did the police let her go after the first two crashes sure would make this a more worthwhile read.

Had a similar one here in IL but only two crash and was about 4 hours between. Cops impounded car. Someone else came and got the car then gave the drunk his keyes back. Got 5 miles down the road and then plowed in to my client.

A local newspaper from the Monroe Times on 10/29/12 indicates that she was issued a mandatory court date and turned over to Dane County deputies.

I don’t think they start arresting here until after your third DUI… I hear stories about 7th 8th and 9th DUIS
    ***
This started before 1 PM, first one, she was on the wrong side of the road, served and side swiped the other vehicle and ran.
About 3:30 she forced someone off the road into a ditch and ran
The third crash was at about 3:45 where she hit someone head on. One person received minor injuries from that one.

Danielle S. Kraus was cited for causing injury by driving while intoxicated, but never arrested. She admitted to be responsible for the other two crashes, and was cited for them as well. She was never taken to Jail….

This was from Wisconsin State Journal.
