The company admitted liability – yet the neo-cons spin this story as if it was the Muslims fault. Wake uo, people. If Hobby Lobby can do business according to their beliefs, so can these authentic Muslim men.

Good for the company admitting they punished the men because of their beliefs. That’s not the story you hear on Faux News

If you are hired to drive a truck, drive the truck and shut up. Bakeries and Florists were told they had to serve gays or be shut down. This is quite a double standard we have in this country.

This puts employers in a pickle: When hiring an employee they are not permitted to ask about the applicant’s religious beliefs. Also, the business owner is also uncertain as to who their future clients will be. The employer is in a double blind.

The courts have established that the choice to seek a paycheck means surrendering certain rights. For example, my employer can invade my “privacy” and search everything on my work computer, because, it’s a work computer. Hence, my right to not be searched, and my first amendment rights do not fully extend within the work place. I think the same should be true for religion… CHECK RELIGION AT THE Time-clock. When you punch in, get the job done. You should not apply for a job that could offend your religious beliefs. Also, the employer should have no benefits, or hurdles due to religion. If you belief in God, Jehovah, Allah, Vishnu, Yoda or Santa, none of that should have to do with work. Both employers and employees need to surrender religious beliefs in exchange for a paycheck.
