HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. will integrate the operations of its domestic general aviation underwriting agency, HCC Aviation Insurance Group, Inc., and its occupational accident and worker’s compensation underwriting agency, HCC Employer Services, Inc., with those of its insurance company subsidiary, US Specialty Insurance Co.
In addition, HCC plans to combine the operations of its London based accident and health underwriting agency, LDG Re Limited, with those of the London branch of its largest insurance company subsidiary, Houston Casualty Co. All three of these underwriting agencies exclusively represent the HCC Group’s insurance companies and this restructuring will allow them to operate on a more efficient basis going forward, within the Group’s insurance company structure, the company reported.
The cost of this restructuring, not to exceed $2 million, will be taken in the fourth quarter of 2000.
