CPCU Expands Meeting and Seminars Programming

April 5, 2002

The CPCU Society, the association for more than 28,000 CPCU-credentialed insurance industry professionals, announced the expansion of its 58th Annual Meeting and Seminars programming by more than doubling the technical education, career development, and career management seminars to 45.

The CPCU Society’s 58th Annual Meeting and Seminars is the educational and professional development event of the property and casualty insurance industry, and will take place Oct. 19-22, 2002, in Orlando, Fla., at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels.

Programming will center on the theme “Lead and Succeed,” and is presented in flexible formats such as panels, discussion groups, general sessions, and seminars. The meeting’s educational offerings allow CPCUs the convenience of fulfilling continuing education credits in one place with the option of two tracks: Property and Casualty Insurance and Leadership and Career Development. Attendees will learn how to “Lead and Succeed” through a variety of programs.

The National Leadership Institute (NLI) Certificate program, offered for two days prior to the Annual Meeting and Seminars, is available for business professionals interested in expanding their leadership skills and earning the NLI Certificate of Completion.

Additionally, during the Annual Meeting and Seminars attendees can attend a special Disney Institute presentation, The Disney Approach to Leadership Excellence. The Disney Approach to Leadership Excellence draws from a legacy of leadership at the Walt Disney World® Resort to explore strategies and methods for improving team results through great leadership.

The CPCU Society Expo, featuring a variety of industry vendors, will take place Oct. 19-21. In addition, the CPCU Society will welcome the newest CPCUs when the American Institute for CPCU confers the CPCU designation on its new designees, Sunday, Oct. 20.
