Gold Seal Risk Management Launches in U.S.

June 8, 2005

Gold Seal Risk Management Services (www.goldsealcorp.com), formed in Australia in 1995 to provide risk management and advisory consulting services to general insurance intermediaries, has expanded its services to the United States. The American company operates under the name Gold Seal Risk Management Limited.

Gold Seal provides products and services to insurance agents and brokers to help them enhance profitability through sound operating procedures and to ensure that proper risk management and loss prevention activities are in place to mitigate the potential for errors and omissions claims.

Gold Seal programs and consultancy services will be made available to the 44,000 independent agents and brokers licensed in the U.S., as well as to the exclusive agency marketing and distribution channel.

“Our products, services, experience and reputation within the insurance industry makes Gold Seal well placed to provide advice on issues relating to best practices for process and procedures and E&O loss control management, awareness and prevention,” said Simon McKeown, CEO of Gold Seal Risk Management Limited. “We’re excited to expand our proven services to the United States.”

A core product offered by Gold Seal is the “Gold Book,” an Operational Guidance Program, which agents and brokers can use to establish and maintain documented business processes. As a companion to Gold Book, the company offers a Staff Policies and Procedures Manual, a customizable template that allows the agency or brokerage to effectively communicate and distribute the organizations policies and procedures to their staff.

The company will soon announce its newest product addition to the marketplace, The Gold Seal Internal Audit Program, a web-based program allowing for the self-regulation of insurance agents and brokers. The organization performs the self audit annually to assist with identifying gaps in operational process and procedure that could result in errors and omissions exposure.

In addition to products designed to guide agents in best practice adherence, Gold Seal is reportedly unique in its ability to provide auditing and consulting services on a national basis through a network of Gold Seal accredited consultants.
