These services, which are provided at no additional cost for Lexington policyholders, are expressly designed to help managed care organizations control liability exposure and rein in soaring litigation and claim costs. The services include reviews of medical management and provider contractors to identify and mitigate areas of liability exposure; pre-claim counseling, including recommendations to prevent escalation of incidents that could result in liability claims; risk management seminars; claim management; and legal defense services.
The services are designed for a range of organizations, including Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Independent Physical Associations (IPAs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), Management Service Organizations (MSOs), Third Party Administrators (TPAs), Physician Hospital Organizations (PHOs), Peer Review Organizations (PROs), and Utilization Review Organizations (UROs).
