I’m sure his apology was as heartfelt as his warm & fuzzy feeling for the defendants he chose to eviscerate. The fine (if he pays it) is pretty hefty. I hope the firm has to make up the other $210MM.
Is he getting 5 years? I hope he gets that full sentence. The vermin involved in that law firm all need to be charged. It split into two and possibly three firms and the other scum is still out there. The fine should have been $20 million or more.
I want my money back from that scum sucking, back biting, tofu eating, tree hugging, aclu subsidizing, skirt wearing half man. I am a mutual policyholder, and he cost me and 20 million other auto policyholders real primary and real secondary dollars. He didnt cost stockholders money, he cost OWNERS money.
These deals concocted by prosecuters and other persons accountable to no one make a mockery of justice. This is a RICO conviction and, compared to the AIG/GenRe situation, a sweet “deal” made by this convicted man to get off with a comparative hand-slap. What a joke.
This guy gleaned over a $1 Billion in corrupt fee income from the public and has made himself a sweet, sweet deal for a pitifully meager $10 Million fine and, at most, “serving” a few months in a supervised country club. What about restitution?
His “apology” is humorous. This man is just sorry he got caught.
wow, who would ever think that a lawyer would be greedy and be involved in such schemes? I dont know why people believe tort reform is needed…
He should have been hung, drawn & quartered in a public square.
Instead he’ll probably feel sorry for himself while at his mansion in Boca Raton.
That’s nice of him to apologize. All better. . . .

5 years in a maximum security prison is a long time, but hey he deserves it, so I dont feel sorry for him.
