Collectify LLC has released its new Collectify Home Inventor Edition software at special pricing to insurance professionals so they can provide it as a value-added service to personal lines insurance clients.
During 2005 through 2008, more than 90,000 homeowners insurance complaints to state insurance departments were “confirmed,” or upheld, according to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Many of those complaints related to claims.
“One of the straightforward, cost-effective ways to increase customer satisfaction—and prevent claims problems—is for agents to provide their personal lines clients with an easy-to-use tool to document their home and possessions,” explained Franklin Silverstone, chairman and CEO of Collectify LLC. “Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters produced untold stories of insurance claim catastrophes—and it doesn’t have to be that way.”
All too often, simple documentation of furniture, fixtures, electronics, clothing and valuables is lacking when a home has suffered from a tornado or hurricane, flood or water damage, fire, theft or other loss, according to Collectify.
