I used to be a Mutuals investor until 2008. When I saw the stock market was sliding downhill, I called my “bank”, and CHASE’d down the boy who controlled my investments there. I demanded he take my money out immediately…to which he replied each time I asked: “Oh…it’s going to go back up…leave your money alone and we’ll watch it.” $20,000.00 was shown on my statement as the amount that was GONE!!!!!!! All they told me was: “We are so sorry…it’s not our bank’s fault…EVERYBODY else lost money too, not just YOU.”
