    Let’s see, the House does 5 years and the Senate does 1. Perhaps they will compromise and do three in the end. In any case, it doesn’t need to keep lapsing every 3 months like it has been doing. Congress needs to be replaced by responsible leadership and will be in Nov.

    I too was shocked to read this today- thought for sure we would be reading this next Thursday or Friday and would have another lapse …. Hope the House gets this resolved before Friday.

    No, they didn’t do their job because they did not reform this broken and bankrupt program. They just extended it and put off dealing with the problem for another year.
