I agree wholeheartedly from personal experience. I began a boot camp several months ago and can’t believe the amount of energy I have. I feel stronger, younger, more focused.
Granted, I don’t do this routine during the work day, so can’t measure the same way this study did, but vigoous exercise a few days a week makes a huge difference in my productivity.
Wellness [incl exercise] should be promoted and included in each group and personal health insurance program. It blows me away how many health insurers operating in CA simply do not address this issue. They would rather give it lip service, collect enormous premiums and pay claims rather than work with people to keep them healthy — but then, health isn’t really their business is it?????
Even most Medicare plans do not include wellness options.
DAN is rite on, go to groc. store and stand by the check out area and see what the customers are buying for their families and themself and then they wonder why they are overweight and have MEDICAL problems.
I volunteer to be in the second group!
Amen Lauren!
BTW let me caution the casual reader– it’s folly to compare research results on the workforce in Sweden with Philadelphia!!
